March Playlist

Hey lovelies ♥ It's my March playlist today and I'm trying something abit different! I usually just list about 30 songs that I've been loving this month but I'm going to limit myself and just highlight my favourite songs. I won't be listing 30 song but up to 15 with the song included for you to listen too :') This month my playlist includes disney, my little pony, barbie and the big top 40! 

Let the Rainbow Remind You - My Little Pony

I have been loving all MLP songs this month and have been listening to them again non-stop but this is definitely one of my favourites. I love the rift and beat to it, it just makes me feel happy and pumped :) I do wish every character had abit to sing but it's still a nice song nevertheless.

Heroes - Alesso

I didn't really like this song when it came out but over the months I have really got into it. My sister says that they could have used this in Big Hero 6 and I totally agree, it would have fit so well!! I actually searched youtube knowing someone would think the same and I found the perfect video :) I really love this song now and I just good feeling whenever I hear it.

Soarin - Barbie in Princess Power

So I saw Princess Power the other week for the first time and it was pretty good. I love Barbie being a superhero for the first time and it just felt more modern. The music wasn't as good as in other barbie movies but it was a superhero movie! This was probably the best song of the movie and I felt it fit the movie really well. 

Float - Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast

I watched this movie the other day and it was stunning. I felt all different types of emotion during the film and I never expected a Tinkerbell movie to make me cry! I'm a big fan of the music in the Tinkerbell movies and this one didn't disappoint. I loved them all but this one was my favourite. I love the hard beat at the beginning, it reminds me of Merida. I think the lyrics are great and it's different :')

Raise this Barn - My Little Pony

I'M OBSESSED WITH THIS SONG! I love this song so much, it's perfection ♥♥ I've wanted a song like this for AppleJack and when I heard I just felt completed! I love the real country beat and I can't help but tap my foot ;)

Real Love - Clean Bandit & Jess Glynne

I loved Clean Bandit's first single 'Rather Be' and this one is another favourite and yet again it's with Jess Glynne. I'm in love with Jess Glynne's voice, it's breathtaking how amazing it is! This song just feels so super summery to me and I could easily make it my summer anthem now ;)

Rainbow Rocks! - Equestria Girls

This is possibly one of my favourite ever opening sequences to a movie. It's so super colourful and creative. I love the rock beat and all the harmonies. I feel it really gets you geared up for the movie and I love how the video shows how the story in a silhouette form :)

Strange Sight - Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast

This one is also one of my favourites in the movie and really makes me feel warm inside. I think the lyrics and vocals are great and of course I love Gruff! This is only part of the song but I loved the animation so much I had to share it :)

Equestria Girls Opening Theme - Equestria Girls

Again I think this is one of my favourite openings to a movie! I didn't like the song at first and thought 'what the hell?!'. Then I saw the movie again and couldn't get the song out of my head so I listened to it again..and again..and again! Now I love it and think it's such an amazing remix and yet again the graphic sequence at the beginning is great for each character :')

Style - Taylor Swift

I only heard this for the first time about a week ago and instantly fell in love. I've loved Taylor's latest songs like Blank Space and Shake it Off but this is probably my most favourite Taylor Swift song ever! I absolutely love it and could happily listen to it on repeat. I feel it's a mix of new style of pop and her old style of country with all the different harmonies and voice changes.

Bats - My Little Pony

I do love a good AppleJack song and this one is no exception. It is amazing! I totally love the difference between AppleJack and Fluttershy. The music is super clever how AppleJack's is more dark and bold but Fluttershy's is light and soft. I prefer the AppleJack part but it's a great song!!

What I Did for Love - David Guetta & Emeli Sande

I not sure if Eastenders did this song a favour or not since I haven't really hear it since Eastenders used it at the end of their live week about a month ago! I love this song so much and I wish it was played more as it's so good. I already loved both artists and I can't wait to hear this song in the summer :)

Friendship is Magic Extended - My Little Pony

I'm not the biggest fan of this song but I do love the middle where they describe each character. I kinda wish they used this extended version on maybe like the season premieres and finales so it had some use?? It is super sweet though ♥

Love Me like you Do - Ellie Goulding

I'm not the biggest Ellie Goulding fan in the world and haven't really taken to any of her newest singles but I'm not sure if they change writer or changed her voice on this single but it's awesome! This is one of the songs to 50 Shades of Grey..(which I haven't seen for those of you who want to know!)...and it is really effective. I didn't really like it when it came out as it kinda creeped me out when she started says touch me like you do but then I found it where it came from and now it's totally effective and understandable. I really love her voice in this song and I feel it is actually more like her older lighter music :)

Making Today a Perfect Day - Frozen Fever

IT'S FINALLY HERE! I had to make this my last song on my list since it only arrived in our lives yesterday :) I'm so happy that Frozen Fever included a new song and it's perfect! When I first heard it, I actually didn't know what to think but hearing it again just made me feel warm and happy. One of my favourite things about this song is that the beginning beat is actually from a cut song from Frozen called Life's too Short (below), which was my favourite cut song and I actually put it on my Ipod and know the words :') I'm happy that it was able to get used!! I also love the end the most when everyone is singing for Anna :') I can't wait to see this short now!

There's my March playlist and to be honest it didn't turn out as short as I'd hoped but oh well!

Character Lookbook ~ Happy International Women's Day!

Hey lovelies :) Happy International Women's Day! I didn't know it was international women's day till..well today! I saw these awesome disney pictures and knew I had to share them :') 

In celebration I decided to try and make a character lookbook with outfits inspired by them. I chose my favourite strong females but of course this isn't all of them! Over the years females have become more feisty, strong and brave and I love that girl power aspect. It took me all day to make these lookbooks and I'm no fashion girl so I hope you enjoy! 

Rapunzel from Disney's Tangled follows her long dream to see the floating lights and battles thugs and her scary fake mother, while trusting the local theif Flynn Rider to take her there. I found a lilac lace dress and little purple flats to match her little and bouncy attitude. A flowery plait would be a perfect hairystyle for this lost princess and I added a flower purse and yellow rose earrings to finish off the outfit. 

Anna has been alone for so much of her life and doesn't understand why, so when she finally meets new people she is totally excited! Anna hasn't spoke to Elsa in years and when she pushes her too far an angry Elsa releases her icy powers and flees Arendelle. Anna knows she has to go after her and meets alot of friends on the way including some unwanted wolves and scary ice monster. I decided that Anna needs a long cardigan and a scarf for that cold weather and she couldn't do any of this without those little plaits and high boots. To finish off the outfit I decided to add a gold belt to seperate the different pieces. 

Belle is different to others and loves to spend her days with her nose in a book. When she has to stay with the beast, she shows really bravery and she isn't going to just give up. She holds her own with beast and doesn't just get ordered around! I decided to use a mix of Belle's golden ballgown and blue village dress. I knew the dress would have the be more gold than yellow and I wanted to use the loose ponytail with a ribbon in from her villager outfit. I think the yellow bow heels fit the outfit perfectly and I love the red rose necklace to represent Beast's rose. Belle always has a book so what would be better than a book shaped like a bag?!

Gogo Tomago is the strong sassy one in Big Hero 6 and isn't afraid to test her limits. Gogo has to battle a super villain with all her friends, that super awesome! I love Gogo's style so much from her black & purple hair to her leather jacket and ripped leggings. She also doubles up alot with a white top and black shorts. You can to include her signature black gloves and you could even add some bubblegum to really give it that Gogo image!

Tinkerbell is a feisty little fairy and isn't afraid to give you a piece of her mind, just be sure not to make her too angry! Tink has to help Peter Pan fight Captain Hook and keep Neverland alive, that's one heck of a job!! Tinkerbell has to have her original green dress with her messy bun and little green shoes with pomp pomps. I thought Tink would wear alot of accoseries including a little jar of green pixie dust, believing quote bracelets and wing earrings. 

Tiana is one of the strongest Disney females in my opinion and she is a hard-worker for sure, oh yeah she also turns into a FROG?! I used a ton of green for Tiana since that just feels like her colour to me. Tiana wears so many outfits but I decided to focus on her human frog wedding dress. I felt like this light green maxi dress and leaf-like heels were perfect and to finish it off with her bun, a green floral headband and a darker green handbag to make a bold sentment.

Rainbow Dash represents the Element of Loyality, loves speed and has big dreams. She often speaks without thinking and can be quite self-obsessed alot of the time. Of course you can't have Rainbow Dash without her rainbow mane so I used a wig in my lookbook :) I also know I wanted to use knee high converses since I've wanted these FOREVER and they remind of her EG shoes. I used alot of rainbow as you can see with a blue leather jacket to give her that edgy touch. I also thought the red lightning bolt necklace and sunglasses really finished the outfit. 

AppleJack represents the Element of Honesty and hell she is honest. She is also incredibly stubborn and hardworking. I knew I wanted to give Applejack dungrees for that country girl working look with a flannel top. I couldn't make a applejack outfit without her AWESOME hat and cowgirl boots. I acssoriesed the outfit with a brown satchel and red apple necklace just like her cutie mark. I think Applejack's hair would be quite messy but styled in a side ponytale so I found a perfect match :)

 

Raven Queen is a very strong female at Ever After High as she stood up to everyone and followed her heart by following her own destiny. She has been part of the big events at Ever After High and has had to save the school quite a few times! I found Raven's outfit to be darker that I originally thought with alot of spikes and darker clothes. I love her purple and black hair with her spikey wedges and spiked headband. I also gave her a dark and purple laced dress to match her hair and spiked bracelet and purse to make her outfit really bold. 

On the other side of the colour wheel is the hot pinks! Blair Willows has to uncover massive secrets at her school to reveal her true idenity and that requires alot of bravery and nobody doesn't girl power as good as barbie :') I went full out on Blair's outfit with lots of glitter and pinks with her wavy blonde hair. I made sure to include her tiara and heart necklace to make it really pop!

Happy International Women's Day!

My Little Pony and Disney Mashups!

Hey lovelies ♥ Today I thought why not combine my two favourite things and mash them together so I present 'My Little Pony and Disney Mashups'! It took a while to set everything for this and alot of thinking for the perfect mashup and every pony has 2 disney mashups :) I've only done the Mane 6 so far but I would love to do some others in future!

Twilight Sparkle is the leader of the gang and represents the Element of Magic. I actually thought of Jane from Tarzan first as a mashup since she is studying animals and writes all about it just like Twilight does with her friendship lessons. I was looking for ages then for another mashup and then I saw a picture of Belle and didn't know how I hadn't thought of it sooner! Belle is the perfect Twilight mashup as she is continually reading and is always at the book shop. Belle and Twilight are both in a new town and find it hard to make friends but they don't judge anything by it's cover :)

Applejack is the reliable one in the gang and represents the Element of Honesty. I think Applejack was one of the easier ones since Jessie was a no brainer..cowgirl..duh?! I thought of Tiana first as Applejack's personality and attitude to everything just remind me of Tiana. They both care alot about family and they are both extremely hard-working sometimes to the point of exhaustion! Jessie is a ovibous choice really since she is a cowgirl and wears an awesome hat just like Applejack. They are both fiesty, strong, bold and can totally hold their own.

Rarity is the style guru in the gang and represent the Element of Generosity. I think Rarity was actually the hardest as it took me forever to get the perfect matches. Charlotte from The Princess and the Frog was easy as she just reminds me of Rarity. They both dream of being royal and princesses but will do anything for their true friends. Rosetta took me FOREVER! I first thought of Miss Piggy but then decided I wanted to use human characters as they are already ponies..then I suddenly thought of Rarity and dirt and Rosetta sprung to my mind and they are perfect! They both hate getting dirty and love making themselves look fabulous ;)

Pinkie Pie is the random one in the gang and represents the Element of Laughter. I found Pinkie Pie's matching as hard as Rarity too. I knew straight away that Anna had to make an appearance since they both get super excited quickly, love making new friends, hate being lonely and singing alot of songs plus when you mess with them, your in trouble..! I'm always comparing Maddie Hatter from Ever after high to Pinkie so when I saw a picture of Maddie with Pinkie, it hit me! Pinkie had to be the perfect Mad Hatter! It makes total sense as they are both as insane as each other!! 

Rainbow Dash is the brave one in the gang and represents the Element of Loyalty. I always feel abit of Peter Pan in Rainbow Dash even though he isn't featured as they both fly and love to boast about their awesomeness but then I decide he didn't have the sassy fiesty personality I wanted. I remembered how much Gogo Tomago loves speed and that's her thing plus she is a tomboy like Rainbow Dash with that fiesty element. Vanellope was a different choice and again she just loves speed. She is also super competive and loves to win. 

Fluttershy is the gentle one in the gang and represents the Element of Kindness. Snow White had to be a match for Fluttershy since they both love animals and have a special connection with them. They are also both get afraid quite easily but their animal friends help them along the way. Fluttershy and Snow see the best in everyone and are always kind towards others. Giselle is often forgotten but I felt her vunable friendly personality matched Fluttershy. They both love singing and expressing how they feel to their animal friends. They are both also ready to stand up for their friends and family.

My Dream Cosplays!

Hey Lovelies! Another post today and it's something different to what I've done before :) I've never cosplayed anyone but I would LOVE to someday! I often tell my Mum that I would move out just so I can buy loads of cool wigs and outfits that I could just wear round my house!! I decided to make a list of all my dream cosplays that I would love to try someday. So here is my dream cosplays..

So first on my list is Disney Princesses! I couldn't make this list without them since they would be so SUPER COOL to cosplay. My favourites to cosplay would have to be Elsa in her ice dress, Rapunzel with long hair and Anna in her coronation dress. I love all 3 outfits and I would be too excited if I got to wear one, it would be a dream come true! Honey Lemon and Gogo are also pretty high on the list ;)

Following the Disney theme are my three favourite fairies. I've always wanted to dress up as Tinkerbell as I've always loved her and her shoes are the cutest! I also love little Periwinkle's outfit and it reminds me of Elsa in a way. Zarina is probably my favourite fairy outfit next to Tink as it's so different and edgy. I bought a doll of her since I love it so much! Plus you can't go wrong with WINGS!

I think right now these are the characters I would most like to cosplay! Rainbow Dash is my first pick since she is super AWESOME and I LOVE her boots and of course of hair..duh?!! It would be super fun and I would love to do a Equestria Girls and pony cosplay of her :) I also had to be AppleJack on this list since she is my second hair and THE HAT..it kills me everytime..I LOVE it!! My inner girly girl is calling Pinkie Pie and let's face it she would be super cute to do with the big pink hair and adorable outfit :)

My inner girly girl is also calling for Ever After High cosplay! I would love to do Maddie Hatter since she is my favourite and I think she would be the most fun with the cool coloured hair and zany outfit. I would love to Blondie since I'm a blonde and I love her outfit. I love Ashlynn but her outfit and hair just makes me love her more, it's so super cute!!!! Kitty is my edgy choice as it's different to rest but I love it especially the purple hair :)

Last on my list has to be the Barbie girls. I love the Barbie outfits way too much and these are just some of my favourites. I love Alexa's little pink dress with bun and adorable pumps but I also love Keira's totally purple cool popstar outfit with those boots!! Blair's is slightly different as it's quite preppy but I do love it and Blair is one of my favourites so I couldn't leave her out. 

I would also love to do something edgy like Harley Quinn or Black Widow, some kind of superhero cosplay that would be AWESOME! I hope someday I can cosplay, have awesome wigs and amazing costumes but at the moment character tops is as far as it goes ;)
